Item Law #411

 

Mandatory Registration and Information Clause

 

  1. All magical Items submitted to the Item Law Makers Guild for review in accordance with Item Law #6 shall be registered in the guild archives upon completion of this review and certification that the Item violates none of the Laws.
    1. Should an Item be created unintentionally, it may be registered within 30 days of the revelation of its nature.
    2. Failure to register shall result in a fine not to exceed 200 Curld. This fine may be combined with other fines relating to a failure to submit or register, including fines associated with Item Law #6.
  2. At the time of registration, all of the powers, properties, and characteristics of the Item must be disclosed in full for entry into the archives. The type of the item must also be registered at this time in accordance with Item Law #63.
    1. Failure to conduct a full disclosure shall result in a fine not to exceed 500 Curld. This fine may be combined with other fines relating to a failure to submit or register, including fines associated with Item Law #6.
      1. Pleas of ignorance on the part of the Item maker shall be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  3. Inquiries into the nature of a registered Item shall be granted to the general public for a nominal fee not to exceed 5 Curld per inquiry.
    1. The registration record of a given Item, in its entirety, may be referred to as "the 411" and may be requested by this nomenclature.
      1. No "coolness discount" shall be given for requesting information in this way.
  4. Items unregistered beyond the 30 day grace period, and the possessors thereof, may be dealt with by the Item Law Makers Guild or the Item Death Squad at their discretion and shall not enjoy the protection of limitations set forth by the High Ultimate Item Law book of Item Laws, except where such license might introduce contradiction into the enforcement of said laws.
