Item Law #49

Item Nicknames

  1. It is acceptable to give a nickname to an item, only if the true name of the item exceeds 10 words.
    1. The name must be a single word which may or may not impart the function of the item, but may not imply a function contradictory to the enchantment or use of the item. (Names such as Glamdrig may be applied to any item, where as names such as Cutter should not be used on items such as enchanted rolling pins.)
    2. The items actual name and nickname must both be listed on the Item Submission form.
    3. Regardless of the items nickname, the actual name of the item must still follow all other Item Laws regarding naming and or unnaming of an item and or unitem.
    4. Should a different item want to use the same nickname, they must add the following suffix "the " that will list out how far removed the item is from the original nick name.
      1. Example: First Nickname Sliceor. Then a different item creator wants to use the nickname "Sliceor" their nickname would then be Sliceor the two, should a third item creator want to use the nickname "Sliceor" their item would be Sliceor the three.
