Item Law #63

Restriction Creation of New Types of Items.

  1. One may not superficially alter the fundamental nature of an item in order to bypass item uniqueness constraints.
    1. For example, affixing a paperclip to a sword does not create the new item type "Sword with paperclip," but rather the sword remains a sword and the paperclip remains a paperclip.
    2. Similarly, one may not superficially alter one's clothing in order to create a new type of clothing.
      1. For example, one may not cut a strip off of one's cloak to create the new item type "Nine-tenths-length Cloak."
  2. All current item types are on file with the Item Maker's Guild.
    1. All items must be registered as a type of item on file.
