Lord Gallant's Firey Deathmask
Few remember this historical Rune Knight's exploits, as he was, by far, a typical if somewhat narcissistic example of his class. It was only through his Firey Deathmask that he got into the history books.
The firey deathmask (then merely a "mask") was crafted by Sorcery and bequeathed unto him; because he had an unusual weakness to Fire magic, the mask was intended to amplify his defenses against his foes' gears.
Unfortunately, the mask was forged by a Pyromancer, and rather than defend against firey magic, it merely lit Lord Gallant's face on fire. Thus, "deathmask."
Weaker versions of Lord Gallant's Firey Deathmask are popular prank items. "Doin' the Gallant Dance" is a lulzy slang term for someone whose death throes are especially hilarious.
