Moonrock

A semi-precious metal which is, by its nature, hard to find. The special property of this metal is that both exists and doesn't exist, but not at the same time. Each moonrock has a distinct period, which is the time it takes for it to phase from opaque to non-existant and back again. Normally, this is somewhere in the area of five minutes for a standard moonrock, but when alloyed with other metals, this period may increase dramatically, causing erratic existance to occur.

The origins of the name date back to ancient peoples, who found the metal on the ground, and saw that quite like the moon, it disappeared and came back. Obviously, it must have come from there, or be a shard from it. It was used in various rituals and as a great gag gift for generations hence.

Moonrock is generally a sort of dull maple color, but colors very anywhere from amber to thistle. It is a very strong metal, being somewhat stronger than steel.

Moonrock in crafting has only various uses. The most notable incident of moonrock crafting is the Moonrock Gate of Ithbarg, which repelled Vhadxi's invading vampyres for a full thirty minutes before it phased out of existance. It then reappeared thirty minutes later, much to the distress of a fleeing populace.

Semi-commonly used to make epic-looking Moonswords.
