Overseer Draxle

Vampyre Overseer of The Vampyre Kingdom during the early years of the magic sword king period. Draxle was said to be the second cousin of King Ronard in life, and even in his unlife they remained amicable, often supporting each other in The Kings Council.

In the meeting hall of The Kings Council, Draxle had a large and elaborately carved gothic throne of rock and bone, where as others merely had simple wooden chairs.

K'ng P'lv'r drummed his fingers on the great table impatiently. The sound mingled with the pelting of rain drops against the leaded glass of the hall. He sighed and shifted in his seat.

"How much longer must we wait?" he said at last. "Draxle has been speaking with Ronard for ages. What is so blasted important that it couldn't wait anyway. After all--"

"I trust the high king would not keep us waiting unnecessarily," Greylord said in his deep and measured tones, an undercurrent of something disquietingly threatening in his voice. P'lv'r glared insolently and slouched.

"That's all well and good for you. You don't have so sit next to this... this... thing," he said, making a vague gesturing toward the elaborate throne of Draxle which was immediately next to him. "I think this is a real skull! I'm not kidding.. it stares at me throughout the whole meeting. Can't someone please trade seats with me?"

"Now now, good king," piped Lightlute. "We all drew our lots from the Deciding Cup, same as you. Don't go trying to change it now!"

P'lv'r glared at each sitting around the table in turn, then fell silent again, returning to drumming his fingers and watching the rain run in little rivulets down the grey green windows of the hall.

A strong leader, Overseer Draxle led his people well and understood the delicate balance his kind must maintain in order to meet the needs of his people but not drive the other nations to hunt his kind to extinction. Unfortunately, Draxle died suddenly and accidentally at his surprise birthday party.

He was replaced by the weak and timid Overseer Drihzxi, who was unable to maintain control of his lands. His power was quickly usurped by Lord Vhadxi, a diplomat of the Vampyre Kingdom, and hungry for power.
