Perilous Circumstances (The Novel)
An ElemenstorLance romance novel that turned out to be very popular amongst the expanding female fantasy dynamic.
It is the last book in the Resunderung and Beyond series, but is actually chronologically the fourth. It flashes back to Perilous Circumstances's early twenties, and covers the great romances in her life. It is written in the form of her personal diary.
Day Four Hundred: Politicians asssasinated: 3 V. good. Met up with Co'ner for lunch. Bought a Bladeweasel-skin coat for half the price. Go me! Throne still won't shut up. Wants me to kill some bloke in the next country over now.
Eventually, Perilous finds herself in a strange love triangle. Perilous is torn between the underachieving but kind Indie'Ahn, Co'ner and the rich but emotionally distant Doctor, Dr Oddwuv. To make things worse, Co'nor may also already be in love with Princess Flaming Lips.
She agonizes over her choice for most of the book, at one point wandering into Castle Eureka while looking for a restroom and getting relationship advice from the Four Underdogs themselves. This is made even more confusing as according to the Four Underdogs, the future version of Co'ner had been living in the castle with them for years, thanks to it being outside the normal timeline of Battal.
Eventually, Perilous's choice is solved for her. Dr. Oddwuv is torn apart by Werewolves and the Singing Throne orders her to assasinate Princess Flaming Lips and Co'ner. However, to her delight, she discovers Co'ner is in fact, immortal (although he wasn't very happy about having to remove a crossbow bolt from his lung). With all of her relationship problems settled, she and Co'ner wed and end up producing Lyssa Circumstances.

| Not that I read this novel very carefully (not my cup of tea.. and I didn't cry at the end dark it!) but I thought that Oddwuv was torn apart by Eops. -Tim |
