Pirate

The Scourge of the Sea, Scurvy Dogs, Hell's Fancy Men; these are but some of the names applied to the dreaded sea-faring pirate (though it should be noted they're not too fond of the last one).

A pirate is a kind of roving Rogue/Barbarian. They roam the seas (using boats, of course) in great packs, pillaging whatever catches their eye (or eyepatch). Sometimes they will prey on smaller ships, catching them unawares and then stealing their cargo. Other times, they lay seige to entire towns, burning and pillaging their way to glory.

Despite being dirty, rotten scoundrels, there is a bit of a romantacized image of pirates in Battal. Men wish to be them, women wish to be taken on great adventures by them (except, of course, for the ones who want to be pirates themselves). Of course, if any of these people were to meet an actual pirate, they would probably be scared witless.

While most pirates have no knowledge of magic, a few have limited abilities in Carry and Ice elemenstation.

Under no circumstances should a Pirate be allowed to come in contact with a Ninja.
