Pixlies

Pixlies are tiny faerie-like creatures of which little is known (other than the extensive information found in this article). Each apparently has a unique personality, and most are lively, energetic, good-natured, mischevious and extremely annoying. Most glow with a mysterious natural light, emanating the light brighter when they are excited (this is usually a good indication of how irritating the pixlie is being at any given time). In Book 1 of the Elemenstor Saga, the primary character Horatio has the (mis)fortune of meeting Bibee, an orange pixlie with a strangely inverted personality, presumably as a result of being somehow trapped in the gluey muck beneath the rump of the Dooblegnard Duke Alfamarma. Rather than irritate others, Bibee has become extremely irate, enough so to plot the cunning theft of the Mosaic Platter of Ronard. No explanation is given as to how Bibee became trapped in her unpleasant prison, or how long she remained there. However at one point in the book she does mention that pixlies are creatures "eons more experienced" than Tribbits, which could be an indication that pixlies are typically either naturally immortal, fantastically long-lived, or liars.

Pixlies are particularly attracted to the ting sounds made by The Sword that Makes A Sort Of Ting Sound When You Hold it Up To The Light

Not to be confused with their more sadistic and mysterious cousins, the Tooth Pixlies.

An old Tribbit wives tale claims that if you push a Pixlie down a flight of stairs they have to grant you five wishes. This is of course false. While according to the ancient enchantments placed upon their race five wishes are indeed granted, it doesn't say anything about who the wishes are granted to. As a result of this, Pixlies invariably grant the wishes to themselves and spend all of them making the pusher's life an absolute living misery for the rest of their (short) lifespans.

King T'n'r or Kelembad passed the Pixlie Rite of Dust and thus earned fealty from Pixlie leagons that swore their allegence to him during the Vampyric Wars.
