Psilocybe

The only significant population of Elves in Zonardia. Psilocybe, a mid-sized village, is home to a sizable population of very content High-Elves. The village is found in the heart of the Shroom Forest and is one of the few populated regions in the sparsely populated Enda. It has been speculated that the earwigs that tend to drive out the population in other regions are perhaps repelled by the peculiar odor of the Shroom Forest, which it is suspected that only they can smell.

The structures of the village are carved from the hollowed-out fungi of the forest. Each gigantic mushroom cleared out by the burrowing Elves, who take the white and spongy matter cleared out from the construction effort and use it for cooking or shredding into "pipe-stuff".

In Lost Child, Raven Darkblood is sent to Psilocibe to "complete her training" but it appears that the Elves either have little to teach her or no desire to do so and therefore she spends most of her time engaging in a "mexican standoff" of unrequited puppy-love.

In Light Wings, Raven discovers an ancient tome in the large shroom structure at the center of town that serves as the hall of records, library, archives, and town hall. The secrets it reveals to her would ultimately unlock her full abilities.

Shortly after discovering the tome, the ghost of Polinor the Unkind and Unexpected appears most unexpectedly to Raven and unkindly shows her a vision of what terrible fate will become of the village if she does not leave it at once.
