Ronardity
Beliefs
Ronardians worship King Ronard as a deity and the rest of the Magic Sword Kings as saints. They believe in man's own power to change the world, no matter how pathetic his magic sword is. They hold King Ronard to be the standard by which all men are to be measured and always ask themselves "What would Ronard do?". Their primary holiday is the Jubilee of the New Year because that, fortuitously, coincides with King Ronard's birthday.
The Ronardians are perhaps most well recognized for their free and widespread distribution of the Chronicles of the Magic Sword Kings. This distribution is at least partially responsible for the ubiquitous popularity of the game known as Agash.
History
Ronardity began in 1020 as a result of political tensions between peasants and the magic-sword-wielding nobles of the Vuksveufa religion. King Botard the Great and Judicious and Such sided with the peasants with his magic sword tax, and thus cemented their love of the Magic Sword Kings. After the death of Botard the Great and Judicious and Such, Vuksveufen nobles tried to suppress Ronardity. However, by that time Ronardians had already started to carry ceremonial versions of Ronard's Very Large But Unenchanted Spikey Hammer, and the suppression was effectively subdued.
