Back to The Inns and Taverns of Battal
Rosemary's Inn (The White Plaza)
Originally started as a small, homey establishment, the good food, excellent service, and ebuleant host, Rosemary, made the place an incredible success. With this success came upgrades to the physical building. Now referred to as The White Plaza, Rosemary's Inn is a striking large white building, with elaborate stone mosaics on the surrounding grounds, a large glass and mirror entrance (with a revolving door), a large fountain inside, and lots and lots of ivory, marble, and expensive wood panelling.

"We should go over to Rosemary's Inn, she'll set us up with a great place to spend the night." Jack suggested.
"If she's still running the White Plaza I doubt we can afford her prices." Casey advised him.
"Naw, she owes me a favor." he responded. We made our way to the south side of town, almost getting trampled by horses on several occasions. I also noticed that there was an irregular amount of army type people wandering about mixed in with the crowd.
"Boot Knights. Don't make eye contact," Jack said to me, catching my gaze.
Finally we got to a large white building with a sign posted out front. "VACANCY!"
We stepped inside. The place seemed very well taken care of, the shiny marble floors and the thickly padded furniture in the lobby clued me in that this was a high class establishment.
From behind a counter in the far end of the room came a loud and bubbly "Hey! I know you guys!" A woman came out and started running over to our small but growing band of merry-makers. She came over and gave a hug to Casey and then one to Jack. I looked her over. She was well tanned and had black hair that hung down past her shoulders. When she looked over at me I saw that her eyes had large round pupils that made her look like she had Teddy Bear-like button eyes. She was a little plump and she had a pleasant smile. She wasn't really attractive but she was extremely cute.
"Any who is this?" she asked in mock formality, looking over at Casey. "A new boyfriend?"
"Actually, I'm taking his job." Casey blurted out a little too quickly. Of course, I had almost forgotten about that detail with all of the other things that had been happening today.
"Well, anyway, what can I do for all of you tonight?" she looked back at Jack.
"We need two rooms."
"Boy, what a coincidence. We have some, but you can't take them with you." she giggled at her own little joke.
"But we don't have any money."
"You don't have... Oh... what a coincidence they just happen to be free too. Hold on, I'll go get you the keys." She said with a wink and turned around and dashed over to the counter.
Also of some note is the restaurant within the White Plaza. Famous for its impossibly fast service thanks to its Enchanted Waitstaff.
We walked over to the lifter and got in. These things always amazed me. They worked on the principle of the Listening Elevator spell. It is voice activated and raises or lowers you to your desired floor as soon as you call out the floor you want to go to.
"First," Casey called out. The elevator began to move and a few second later the door opened again. We stepped out into the lobby, walked across it and into the hotel restaurant and sat down. There was a soft bamf and a waiter appeared next to us.
"Would you like anything to drink while you decide?" he asked in a polite but businesslike tone.
"I'll have an orange juice," Casey said.
"Me too," I responded as he disappeared again.
I looked up at Casey who was looking down at here menu. After a few seconds she looked up and I realized that I was staring. I looked down at my menu and started to look through all of the wonderful selections.
I looked down at the table and there were two orange juices there. The service here was amazing.
The waiter reappeared and took our menus and our orders.
