Scarbora Bane

A minor character in the Tides of Epic Conflict Saga, she is the comely wife of a fishmonger and Patik Bane's (soon to be Lord Hopebane) mother. It is revealed to Patik that his real father is Duke Hopea by Scarbora. This event acts as the catalyst for Patik's drive to possess the Throne of Cream. For most of the rest of the work Patik, now Lord Hopebane, denies his true lineage but rather claims to be descended from two great Elemenstors, who turn out to both be men.

How a woman of Scarbora's beauty ended up a wife of a fishmonger is anyone's guess and is not discussed in the Saga. However descriptions of her in the Saga portray her as "wantonly gazing" and "thrusting her ample bosom" at most men. This has lead to the theory that her husband was the only one who could keep up with her epic libido until he got burned out (eventually passing away) and others began stepping in. This may also help account for Lord Hopebane's treatment of Lopae of Hopea during the Saga.
