Soul Indigestion

What happens when one eats far too many Soulferic Bats? Why, one clogs up the nature of the soul, an ailment known as Soul Indigestion. It's often described as a heartburn, except that it really is the heart burning with the refuse of tiny digested soul fragments accumulated by eating Soulferic Bats. It's generally a bad sign.

It's easy to avoid soul indigestion: simply don't eat things that eat souls. This is harder for some people than others, though.

Symptoms of soul indigestion include a strong burning sensation, shortly followed by exploding into soulfire, then a distinct feeling of having been fried into ash.

Those who perished from soul indigestion include Hygrad the Mighty. Others may have died from soul indigestion without the world at large knowing, as the symptoms are similar to Grey Death.
