Takanawa Watzanami

Takanawa Watzanami is the nom de plume of the author of Oriental Tales of the Wang Kingdom, the epic "trilogy" (of, as yet, five books), chronicling the greatest heroes and villains of the Wang Kingdom.

Many people believe that Watzanami is a ghostwriter for Tycho Brahe, due to in-depth analysis of their respective writing styles conducted at the State University of New York in 2004, or the converse, that 'Takanawa Watzanami' is a pseudonym occasionally employed by Brahe. Doubt is cast on this second theory by the fact that Brahe has been known to enjoy Japanese entertainment, and anyone using 'Watzanami' as a pseudonym would have to be nearly totally ignorant of Japanese phonology, as 'tz' is not a valid Japanese phoneme.

Accordingly, 'Watzanami' is of course not a real Japanese surname, and therefore even if he is a ghostwriter for Brahe, he is using 'Takanawa Watzanami' as a pseudonym when writing the OTotWK books.

Some believe 'Watzanami' is indeed a ghostwriter for Brahe, but it is Brahe himself employing a pseudonym in invalid Japanese to throw off researchers into believing that he actually isn't ghostwriting for himself.

Little is known about the true person behind the name Takanawa Watzanami.
