Summary

When Zula mistakes Lander's Living Journal of Ashengray for an elemenstatory cookbook, she unleashes a horde of the strange beings born of the Shadowdark Secret. Forced to defend themselves, The Wizbits and their Familiars sunder the grim brood -- only to discovered that their victory has enraged a far greater foe... Lord Kinlo!

Meanwhile, Wendel's anger at his limited power grows hot! Fortunately for everyone, his rubian awakens in time to save the day!

Notes

The awakening of Wendel's rubian does not take place in the American episode, and of course the usual blood and random gratuitous nudity was censored. Plotwise, however, this episode remained largely unchanged in its American adaptation.

It is also worth noting that the appearance of Lord Kinlo in this episode as well as later episodes is somewhat controversial among fans, since he should be long dead by this point in the history of Battal. There is never a definite explanation given, though various hints and commentary by the show's writers suggest that timesorc'ley is involved in order to fulfill a prophecy regarding the Four Underdogs.
