The Devouring Orb of Pakus

This odd golden orb is believed to hold a portal to an endless plane of emptiness Reffered to as the Hollow Nothing, once deployed it is unstoppable in its ability to devour all that comes in its path. The only known way to destroy this devouring construct is with a direct application of Ectoplasm. It should be noted, however, that there are some items the Devouring Orb of Pakus has been known to consume that allow it, instead, to be able to devour Ectoplasm itself for a short period of time.

Whoever created this monstrosity played a cruel joke with its appearance, its golden sphere shape is made up to look like a smiling face right up to the point were the smile opens up and the chomping begins.

Some scholars believe that the ancient legends of Pahkmaan may be based on this object.
