The Frogged Prince
A work of unremarkable literary merit, penned by Grimbold Backbiter, Vice Chancellor of the Census and Sundry Other Administrative Affairs under the reign of Frogeater Notapuppet, one of the Magic Sword Kings.
The Frogged Prince is notable mostly for its historical worth, as it is one of the few extant sources detailing the rather unfortunate reign of Frogeater Notapuppet, the so-called "Ruler of Suspicion." The curious (and rather bold) nature of King Frogeater's untimely death raised numerous questions about the Vice Chancellor's involvement in the affair. Perhaps not surprisingly, The Frogged Prince devotes considerable pages to establishing the Vice Chancellor's innocence and promoting his image as a benevolent public figure. Perhaps also not surprisingly, those who attempted to revise Backbiter's autobiography or to write alternate histories of their own all died or disappeared mysteriously before completing their projects.
