The Iditarod

A race of bipedal dog/human hybrids (Siberian Husky-like).

May not exist outside of tales told to scare naughty children. These tales usually involve threats of Iditarod slavers kidnapping the children to their camps in unspecified frozen wastes, where the gathered children are sorted into teams and hitched to heavy sledges and forced to pull them in a nearly infinite race across the tundra.
