The Shield refers to the largest of the continents that separated in The Sundering, rejoined in The Unsundering, and re-sundered in The Resundering.

Nice map! Some new canon: Book 5 and Book 6 describe Ezermethalon, Terle and Farnvania, which should be somewhere on the North Coast

 

This is the un-errata-ed The Magic Sword Kings Period map published in the first ed of The Elemenstor Saga Companion- TMSKP is pre The Sundering, so The Sickle should still be attached. Ezermethalon, Terle and Farnvania are post The Unsundering. Does anyone have the map from Underpants of the Underdeep?

 

Right, gotcha. This map shows the shield as it stood right after the Sundering, but before the Swmps of Yore were fully formed. The regions were still named after the kingdoms which fell during the Vampyric Wars. I think I have pre and post unsundering maps in a trunk somewhere, underneath old FFVII strategy guides. I'll put on the containment suit later today and brave wading through them. I do seem to remember Terle existing within the realm previously known as Graha. -ewige
