The Storm of Fate
A tremendous thunderstorm that swept across The Baren Swamplands of Yore at the coincidentally worst time possible for the three of the Four Underdogs at that time journeying together. The Storm of Fate drove Lander Phoenixsong and his friends north to escape its pent-up fury. The storm so called by Dame Ellawishus after learning that Myrtle had departed with the visiting strangers.
Despite its extremely important role in sending Lander and his companions to L'fh'ik, where they met with the fourth of the Four Underdogs, Myrtle Breakwind, the Storm of Fate was not much different from many other tremendous thunderstorms that frequently swept across The Baren Swamplands of Yore. A passing remark made in the lore section of an underpowered, unplayed, and unremembered CCG card mentioned that, apparently, it was actually summoned and guided there by a couple of drunk Water-Elemenstors-in-training "frat boys" who saw Lander and his friends in the distance and decided it would be fun to summon up a storm to chase after them1.
The Storm of Fate Fandom
While most fans see the Storm of Fate as a passingly interesting moment in the grand story of the Four Underdogs, the many ELotH:TES fans in France2 fell in love with and embraced the Storm of Fate as a character, heaping much praise, fanfic, and sex appeal onto this otherwise characterless mass of clouds, lightning, and rain. The Storm of Fate drew such a powerful following in France that it even spawned its own cereal, called Stormy-Os3.
When asked about the unexplainable interest of the Storm of Fate in France in a rare interview, Tycho Brahe screamed something to the effect of, "It's a f---ing force of nature! Who can be a fan of clouds and rain and s--t?" He seemed to have shouted it in a pidgin French, which is why his exact words are unknown. It's possible he was drunk at the time of the interview. Or experiencing extreme gastrointestinal pain brought on by bad eggs eaten at breakfast.

2 The many French fans of ELotH:TES is surprising in that nothing from the saga ever actually got translated into French, although some of the CCG cards did make it into Swahili, which apparently the French fans learned just to play the game.
3 Does anyone have a picture of a box of these? I remember seeing a box of Stormy-Os pop up on eBay once in a while, but I never won the auctions and now I can't find any pictures. I remember it had a bowl of cereal in the foreground (the cereal itself consisted of small white wheat puffs with blue swirly "Stormy" marshmallows that turned the milk a dark and ominous shade of gray-blue) with a cartoony little whirlwind smiling brightly in the background.
