The Windfalls of Heredity
Book 2 in The Magic Sword Kings (ElemenstorLance Collection)
In this book King Ronard the Greater weds the beautiful Princess Caliodora in a lavishly described Wedding Ceremony.
The room in which the Wedding Ceremony takes place is covered in rose petals of pink and yellow and orange. There is a false doorway set up in the middle of the room. King Ronard stands before it, dressed in deep blue. A soldier escorts Caliodora down the aisle, a decorative and fully unmagical sword by his side. King Ronard picks her up and carries her across the threshold of the door.
Caliodora wears the traditional gown of beige with green accents, although it is maybe a bit fancier than most people could afford, what with the multi-layered skirt and jewelled neckline. Her hair is pinned up with bejewelled flowers, a few curls artistically allowed to escape.
Afterwards there is a huge Feast.
