To everyone who's adding episode pages: We need to keep the style of the pages consistent. WizBATS and Tocatta and Fugue in Wiz Minor may be good examples.

If you have Wizbits stories you'd like to share or other information that doesn't go on the episode guide page, please see The Wizbits Cartoon. Though marketed as a "kid's show" and containing many egregious factual errors, there are still plenty of reasons to love The Wizbits - namely that it takes place in the fantastic world of the Elemenstor saga!

Japanese episode titles are provided here for comparison; however, many episodes contain less than half of the original Japanese footage, the rest being filled in with new animation that was commissioned by General Defense Dynamics. Often-times entire plots or characters were changed entirely, episodes were shuffled into different orders, or new episodes altogether were created from clips from multiple episodes (such as the Christmas specials). For further information, see The Wizbits Translation Notes and The Wizbits.

Every episode contains a moral at the ending. One of the main characters, or, occasionally some supporting character, would talk to the camera about "what we learned in this episode". These moral segments weren't in the original Japanese and are poorly drawn and animated (if at all -- at least three times, the moral was delivered by a character facing away from the camera so the producers wouldn't have to pay for lip-sync). They were presumably designed, in common with other children's TV programs, to comply with FCC regulations regarding minimum quantities of "educational programming" on broadcast TV. The fact that these regulations were repealed in 1985 does not appear to have deterred series producer James Langomedes from demanding the segments' inclusion.

Season Two Specials

EpisodeOriginal Japanese TitleAir Date
TheWizBitsSpecial0201 - An Elemenstor Xmas: Penny Farthing's Specialist GiftN/A17th December, 2000

Note: The first Christmas Special was made by chopping up other episodes of the original anime Wish Upon a Wizbit, with a Christmas theme poorly added. It was aired only once before being pulled due to strong anti-Semitic undertones. VHS copies of this episode fetch a high price on the black market. The second Christmas Special was only slightly more tame.

Season Four Rumors

Note that due to the halting of production after the arrest of James Langomedes, there were no further episodes after Season 3. Rumors of a four season starring "Phila", the fifth Wizbit, were wishful thinking by fans. The name "Phila" is actually the name of Penny's character in the Japanese version, thus the probable confusion.

Post-Season Three Specials

These specials were produced after the formal series was cancelled, but are not considered part of a new season.

Comments & Discussion

Sorry to be such a petty proof-reader, but as I can't remember Hamill voicing any character other than Wootie I assumed the "Mootie" reference was a mistake. Please revert it back if I'm wrong! -Edcrab
I didn't delete anything, but I moved a bunch of stuff to The Wizbits Cartoon (including the theme song). -toshi.m
Also! The episode titles for season three here (even the original Japanese!) are totally different than the ones given in the ElamenSTAR Episode Guide. Perhaps someone mixed up season numbers?
Remember that Season 1 and 2 of The Wizbits are actually the first and second half of ElamenSTAR season 1, and the third season of Wizbits is only the first half of ElamenSTAR season 2. This is eluded to in the notes at the beginning of the ElamenSTAR Episode Guide, but it should probably be covered in the Translation notes as well. -ErMaC
Should we create a separate page for Wizbits crossovers? I know that Penny and Skip DID appear in at least one Kung Foo Rooster special, because that's why I got hooked on Wizbits. I also think that in some issues of Doctor Raven Darktalon Blood someone mentioned "Killer Deskset Supreme". - Jake
Actually I think that the Kung Foo Rooster crossover episode was actually poorly copied Wizbits characters as the Kung Foo Rooster people could not get a license for use of the actual Wizbits characters. I believe they were actually Penni (WITH AN I!!) and Kip, though no mention of their names was ever made. - Brent
When did the original Wish Upon a Wizbit "Christmas" Special air? only Japan? -1c3m4n
Wish Upon a Wizbit was the pilot episode for ElamenSTAR, it was not originally a Christmas special at all. Also, please try to keep comments and questions to the discussion area. Thanks -ErMaC
I've moved the Cast and Production Crew information to its own page here -ErMaC
