It is no secret that to many an Epic hero, wealth was a fleeting thing. Rothgar was obviously no exception, although the extent to which he quickly (and usually foolishly) parted with his money has become a thing of legend, to the point where this title is actually less an informative name and more of a hugely ironic understatement.

After receiving his bonus for a month of dedicated work, Rothgar soon took to the streets, buying all manner of knick-knack, foodstuff and prostitute. Soon the money was gone, but his lavish lifestyle could not slow down, would not slow down and indeed did not slow down. No one is quite sure how Rothgar obtained money in order to continue his spendthrift ways, although some point out that an alarming number of babies went missing in Battal that year- although to speak any more on the subject would risk libel at best. Suffice to say, he just happened to have enough cash on hand for what was to come next...
