The Tribbit Fishers

Set in the early 200th century, this lengthy fan work had major influences on the fan fiction community. Redefining the Tribbit occupation of Mucksuckers, the story, which was set in The Dank, told of a young Tribbit of the Luskfish Clan named Moralmo and his two friends, Garbanzo and Thumb.

Maralmo makes a living by extracting small fish from The Dank Rivers with his teeth. The story refers to his job as mucksucking, which in Book 1 is described as de-mucking Dooblegnards.

Garbanzo is a mucksucker who extracts gold instead of fish, however this ends up being profitable but ultimately harmful to the mucksucker and as such the Tribbit dies three quarters of the way through the story due to health complications.

The story paints a quaint slice of life picture of the inter-clan struggles of the Tribbits and of the difficulties of living in such an economically depressed region of Battal.
