Topsy-Twervy!

The Wizbits, Episode 305

Aired 29th October, 2001

Summary

In Topsy-Twervy, the young heros find themselves in one of the most confusing episodes ever. Certainly having a grasp on what actually happened requires at least 2 viewings of the episode. In what was rather high concept for a children's cartoon series, the order of the scenes of the episode are reversed, but follow Chronosorcellor Tower Spiralstair who is moving through the scenes forward relative to his time line. As he interacts with each Wizbit, more of the plot is brought into focus, but the interactions become increasingly obtuse. In the end Spiralstair meets Penny Farthing for the first time, and convinces her that she holds the key to saving the Wizbits from disappearing entirely. With a nod of her head the day is saved. Rewind and watch this episode again... it all makes sense.

In this episode, Lander and Zula meet Fregor the Untruthful, who tells them that they have nothing to fear from meddling time magic, which ends up being a crafty half-truth that almost costs the kids their existance.

Moral

Lander: Remember, kids, the timeline is a frail and easily-shattered thing. If someone offers you the oppertunity to travel back in time and behold the wonders of history even as they march before you like unto a vision wrought from God Him/Her/Itself, just say "No thanks, I'd rather have causality!" In short, time travel bad. Adios!
