Ultrawang

Within the Fiction

Gragnakas's short lived, slow moving and occasionally excellent word-picture-scroll, based on the Wangese art-form. The story of Ultrawang revolved around the Dwarf Kilhjungerkas and his Elemenstor companion Yulik Grundspeir, who spoke only in Runeglyphabet, and their adventures as foreigners in the Wang Mountains region of Battal.

While Gragnakas himself sadly felt he had no talent, many fans of the samurai and word-picture-scrolls loved it. The would often line up for hours to hear him talk about how bad it was and how poor his word-pictures were. Eventually another word-picture-scroll author stood up and screamed "He's not even Wangese. He's from Thithithmihos you fucks!!". Unfortunately, since this author was a well-known Urtookoo, nobody paid much notice.

As Literature

Using the concepts potrayed in the canon literature, this work has been created and is itself a serialized web comic which is fairly popular. Whether the events of the story and details provided about the Wang Kingdom are to be considered canon, or if the work is supposed to be the canon depiction of the full text and story of Ultrawang as would exist in Battal is not directly addressed. It is almost certain that the "filler" strips, especially the stick figure fillers, are non-canon however.

Discussion

TimOf course.. I think that the stick figure fillers are often the most hilarious!
