Uregor the Humble
Forge-King of the Dwarves during the first 3 books of The Elemenstor Cycle.
Uregor's title is somewhat theoretical. He was bestowed the title upon birth, in the hopes that he'd pick up after it. Unfortunately, while he took to it quite well his first few decades, upon discovering the Ring of Great Bling, he changed, becoming a no-nonsense face-smacker whom no man (or dwarf) understood save his woman.
His adventures form a subplot of Book 3, in which he abdicates the throne, leaving his unsuspecting minister Ablongox Axemaster to take up the mantle of Forge-Kingship, and becomes Face-Smackin' Wench-Abscondin' Bling-Bearin' King of Battal, a title that far outlives his less accurate "Humble."
Ablongox eventually took to his position with vigor.
