Wizbits (Coloring Book)

This was the title of the much lauded children's coloring book Wizbits (note the lack of the word "the" in this version), which was supposed to be a representation of the television series: The Wizbits. For some reason, although the television show featured Lander, Zula, Skip, and Penny, the coloring book instead featured four characters named Grendel Phoenixsong, Wendell Frozeyou, Archimedes Breakwind and Fantasmica. Their familiars were Tyr the Wurm, Bix the Endtable, Min the Lesser Wizard, and Transnoxiframicanistan the Nightmare Spawn of the Endless Void, respectively. Not only were their powers, backgrounds, familiars and Furniliars radically different from the television series, but in the coloring books all four are eventually slain by Char Reyarteb in a scene that caused more than one child to run out of "red".

Many fans prefer the coloring book version of the tale because it sticks closer to the official canon than The Wizbits.
