Wizzards

Also See: Wizard, Whizzard

Wizzards are one of the magical (sort of) professions. Primarily, they are known as wanna-be Wizards, and considering that Wizards are the bottom of the magical totem-pole in Battal - that's just pathetic. They are generally the result of being born the eighth son in a family. This does not have any special magical significance, it just means that they're used to acting up to get attention from an early age.

Wizzards enjoy dressing up in pointy-hats and robes, although they can never seem to afford new ones and the ones they wear are constantly in tatters. They also make valiant but futile attempts to grow beards.

The single actual magical skill Wizzards truly posess is the Epic ability to run really, really fast. The fastest Wizzard in recorded history was able to break Mach 3. This is the result of years of natural selection, as Wizzards tend to walk around towns telling everyone they're magical, and then being told to put up and go slay that local dragon that's trying to burn down the local nunnery. The result being that only being able to run away very fast from such situations allowed the Wizzard to have a (very small) chance of passing on his genes.

Wizzards are even able to partially violate spacenes and run to places that one couldn't normally run to, such as the Bright Moons or Zonardia. This is considered a low-end manifestation of subconcious telesorc'ley.

Wizzards are also often seen with Furniliars, although how they ever get their hands on them is anyone's guess.

It is a common rumor that in the The Fourteenth Manuscript, Wizzards will be one of the few groups of beings to survive The Ending Times, reaching light-speed velocity and evolving into beings of pure, cowardly, light energy and going on to travel the universe - forever running away from celestial bodies that terrify them.
