Yon Wonderous Day of Birth
A tradition song, usually sang on birthday celebrations. The traditional lyics are as follows:
"All drink ale on this wonderous day
dance and prance and live life gay
share your wealth and spread your mirth
for today is a celebration of your birth
rape and pillage, strip and burn
slay your foes and then we turn
'twards your bloody joy filled face
and we think upon your grace"
According to official cannon this song was originally written by an oft-forgotten tribe of barbarian poets, and while it is indeed a historical curiosity, singing it is considered a social faux-pas.
Some claim (although it is not commonly accepted) that Rothgar (of the Hundred Titles) obtained his title Of a Decent Singing Voice due to his performance of this song.
