Zuud-pho'n

Grim Vapor Lord Chairman during the Siege of Arkleaf.

An astute tactician and cooly calculating, Zuud-pho'n was one of the first of the High Council of Arkleaf to realize the grave threat posed by the War Men gathering outside of the Gates of Arkleaf. Upon raising the alarm, the Grim Vapor Lords were tasked with studying the tactics of War Men in order to devise a strategy by which they might be defeated.

Rather than persuing this assigned task, Zuud-pho'n decided to "this outside of the box" and instead take measures much more appropriate for a Grim Vapor Lord. Zuud-pho'n brokered a deal with the enemy. He makes his case to the Vaporous Lord Chamberlain and the Grim Seneschal Viceroy in his fog shrouded chambers after a particularly dreary meeting of the council. This speech is preserved as the Dirge of Deceit of the Last Days.

Unfortunately, even siding with the enemy was not a way to escape the wrathe of the savegely brutal War Men, for when they overran the gates, they left none alive. Zuud-pho'n, who strode forward to greet the onrushing mob with open arms was one of the first struck down.
