Cheese Squiggles

Shaped in the different letters of The Runeglyphabet, cheese squiggles are small, rubbery pieces of Yaar Cheddar (usually the mild kind) eaten out of a bowl using one's hands. Some say that you could possibly use a spoon to eat them, but there is no real evidence to back this theory up. It is also believed amongst some of the more eccentric circles of the land that applying the rationale of Crunchy Fried Things to the cheese squiggles would also serve as an improvement to their mode of ingestion.

The Real Life Cheese Squiggles

Under sub-licence from the Hi-C company, the Cuba Cheese factory released "Wizbits Cheese Squiggles". These, due to the fact that at this point The Runeglyphabet was still undefined, were simply run of the mill cheese curds in fancy packages. Ironically the characters of the Runeglyphabet were discerned by fans of the series by studying these cheesie snacks who assumed that they were accurate representation of the secret language. These fan designed, cheese curd inspired symbols were found on the internet by the manufacturer and incorporated into later versions of the CCG.
