Elemenstrologists

Predecessors to the High Elemenstors, Elemenstrologists made use of their limited and foggy notions of proto-Elemenstation or Low Elemenstation to awe the weakminded. They were contemporaries to Harbingers, but where Harbingers spent time aquiring vast stores of knowledge and pondering the great imponderables, Elemenstrologist aquired just enough knowledge in order to make a quick buck.

Capable of minor transmorgifications and extremely limited animatrations, they also consumed small amounts of spica and so were capable of limited oracular insights, such as seeing the faces of cards or percieving individuals who were about to enter a room. Elemenstrology cards are often low-priced glamours and Cantrips in the CCG.

Elemenstrologists used these limited powers to form a priestly caste that influenced the course of events by providing "predictions" that they felt would serve their own interests. The Elemenstrologist who were advisors to King Zonard were ultimately responsible for the races of Halfmen which he spawned.

As Elemenstrologists gave way to High Elemenstors, the remaining Elemenstrologists turned to the study of the sky in order to make predictions, and suddenly found that they could actually occassionally make predictions that came true. This developed into the science of Astrolonomy.
