Lulz
One of the least-appreciated kinds of humor in Battal concerns the Lulz, a sense of ironic satisfaction concerning others' misery. Also called "schadenfreude," and as memorialized in this song by Serafina Haberdasheron:
A place
Where nobody dared to go
The lulz that we came to know
They call it Schadenfreude
And now
Open your eyes and see
The noob died voraciously
We are in Schadenfreude. --Book 5
Lulz is intimately connected with the philosophical concept of Vigorous Aliveness. The game of Agash has intimate ties with the philosophies of Vigorous Aliveness, Bloodlustiness, and lulz.
