Adaptations of Wizbits Episodes

There was a relatively short-lived series of Wizbits kids' novels written by a variety of authors under the pseudonym Clarence Dowry. Each was an adaptation of an episode of the Wizbits cartoon; thus the first one was The Wizbits: Wet Party!, the second The Wizbits:Remniki's Tale, and so on. 13 books were published, one each month from January 2001 to Febuary 2002.

Printed on cheap paper, with large print and basic sentence structure, as well as an 8-page insert of screenshots from the episode in the middle of each book, the books were quite accessable to new readers. The last part of each book was a preview for the next; the preview of the final book was for a nearly-lost episode of The Wizbits, and was hyped as being a never-before-seen Wizbits adventure. Upon hearing the lost episode was about to be translated into book form, James Langomedes claimed to recieve a psychic impression that the "great scourge" was returning. He recieved this "vision" in the middle of a Realmworlds Publishing lunchroom shortly after eating the Fiesta Hot Dog Surprise, and only paused by his American home* to pick up his unloaded revolver. He located the writer of the next book and pistol-whipped him until he agreed to stop writing. Fearing further pistol-whippings, no writer dared pick up the series, which was quietly ended.
