A small, blue field-dwelling rodent native to the Mardath Highlands. Their diet consists primarily of grasses and shrubs. Backa are extremely docile and trusting creatures and it is possible to walk directly into the center of a herd without disturbing their grazing. Even when one pulls out a wooden mallet and begins striking other Backa on the head, few are disturbed. This has lead to the easy harvesting of Backa's-whump, as well as the severely reduced population levels of the Backa.
