Darkrift

 

The Darkrift is a great, dark rift (thus the name) that opened between the planes of Elmether and the world of Battal during the Million Year War, signalling the end of The Hierarchy Era. Nonetheless, Battal was so traumatized by the pulling back of the Elmether that literally nothing happened for millenia.

 

Possibly one of the most epic moments in a truly epic saga, the Darkrift was ultimately reduced to a magical accoutrement of MooMaa in the Wizbits, when the Darkrift Hatmaker collapsed, forming the Darkrift Fedora.

 

Look, I don't want to be snippy here, but calling the Darkrift Fedora "a magical accoutrement" is doing the hat a great injustice. MooMaa is the greatest character in the entire ELotH:TES series, and this hat reflects that—It's sentient, it's powerful, and it does, in fact, contain the pure power of the Darkrift within it.
