Disadvantage: Near-sighted

Short-Sighted: -5 points, Near-Sighted: -10 points, Blind as a Bat: -15 points

You are unable to see things far away clearly. There are three degrees of nearsightedness:

-5 points: Take -2 to all rolls for abilities or tasks requiring accuracy at ranges of thirty feet or more. This includes magical spells (both offensive and defensive). All offensive spells cast at a target over thirty feet into melee have a 20% chance to hit a nearby object or person instead of the one you were trying to hit.

-10 points: Take -3 to all rolls for abilities or tasks requiring accuracy at ranges of thirty feet or more. This includes magical spells (both offensive and defensive). All offensive spells cast at a target over thirty feet into melee have a 30% chance to hit a nearby object or person instead of the one you were trying to hit. 10% chance to take an automatic 5 on a spot check.

-15 points: Take -5 to all rolls for abilities or tasks requiring accuracy at ranges of thirty feet or more. This includes magical spells (both offensive and defensive). All offensive spells cast at a target over thirty feet into melee have a 50% chance to hit a nearby object or person instead of the one you were trying to hit. 20% chance to take an automatic 5 on a spot check.

Vision can be corrected through the use of glasses, but there is a 10% chance that any hit which lands on the character will knock them off the character's face. The character must then spend D7 rounds searching on the floor muttering "They're around here somewhere, I know they are."
