A creature that is half-potato, half-beagle. Bred by Vegemancers to be the ultimate garden guardians. They ended up being ultimately too small, cute, and friendly for their intended purpose and were instead sold off as cheap pets.
During the early '90s, there was a line of unique Dogtato toys that were like a cross between Chia Pet and Mr. Potatohead, until the corporations that owned the respective properties stepped in with litigation. Dogtato toys are in high demand and limited quantities, and can fetch up to multiple hundreds of dollars on eBay.
