Dragonapple Latkes

Bogyn's Nastiness Rating: 52 (Horrifically Nasty)

Creature Families: Avian

Also known as D'Latkes, a creature which in some ways resembles a goose, but with a long, snakelike, reptilian neck, and a long gaping maw filled with row after row of razor sharp teeth.

A D'Latke will wrap its powerful neck around a Drakewillow tree and shake loose all the dragonapples. After that it will use its razor sharp teeth to subdue and consume the woodland creatures, or passing travellers, who stop to partake of the easy ground fruit.

Not to be confused with Dagonapple Latkes, which are also referred to as D'Latkes, although this was humorously done by Dogus Brankorking in Book 6.
