Joisey

Back to Sickle Locations

Joisey

A blue-collar guild town on the Westrenn Coast of The Sickle. Described alternatingly as "spawling and filthy" or "quaintly industrial" it appears to be close enough to the sprawling metropolois of Hijinkis that many chose to live here and commute. Joisey is not quite as soul-crushing as Hijinks, but is infinitely more dirty.

Joisey, despite its grimy exterior, has a decent nightlife. A number of taverns, gambling institutions, and other entertainment can be found within the city. It was described in several travelogues as "The Sickle's number one distributor of hedonism" four years in a row.

Tycho Brahe first used this city as a location in Book 12, and has since revealed that he used the real-world city of Scranton, Pennsylvania as inspiration.
