Vuksveufen Schism
The Vuksveufen Schism is the dogmatic split between Orthodox Vuksveufa and Reformed Vuksveufa that occured in 856, beginning amidst the Sw'ftfl'woots and later spreading across the twelve realms.
Causes
In 657 Greater Chiffarobe Daemon killed J'kth'sn'k tutor of Lord B'gh'd after a member of The Eyuda counciled him: "Everyone has their time to die." This turned Lord B'gh'd away from the path of the Elemenstor to ruling the realm of K'th'ith'h and eventual death on Lord Vhadxi's Fell Blade in 850. This was a great tragedy for people of K'th'ith'h, especially the Sw'ftfl'woots, who began to question the Orthodox Vuksveufen principle that the world was perfect.
The question of the universe's perfection
Orthodox Vuksveufa holds the following premises and conclusion to be absolute truth;
When people began to believe the world wasn't perfect they decided that at least one of these three things must have been the case:
-The Hierarchs weren't all powerful
Ergo: You could get away with defying them.
-The Hierarchs didn't know everything
Ergo: Their commands may not be perfect.
-The Hierarchs don't have the best of intentions
Ergo: We don't know that following them is for the best.
Results
The different beliefs about the question of the universe's perfection lead to radically different practices in day to day life. As such, the two groups began to behave as two religions instead of one. The political instability caused by the divided population contributed to the collapse of the twelve realms and the beginning of The Wandering Age.
